EASY TO EXPLAIN
Watch the short video animation and find the answer to the question: why does every offset of your personal carbon footprint count?!
We provide you with a unique opportunity to become part of the environmentally friendly movement and to easily and simply compensate the carbon footprint of your greenhouse gas emissions. Benefit from our fully transparent service, choose the exact project you would like to make an offset with, and start your carbon-neutral life today!
THIS IS NOT AN INVESTMENT or DONATION. Instead we offer you a simple and transparent purchase with the further official cancelation of carbon credits – of which we are the owners – to cover your greenhouse gas emissions. With your carbon footprint offset, you will contribute to the exact project and take a step on the path toward your carbon neutral life.
Calculate your personal carbon footprint or choose one of the fast purchase options.
Offset your impact with Certified Emission Reduction (CER) units from one of the available projects.
Receive your Carbon Neutrality Certificate end enjoy the positive impact of your eco-friendly attitude.
Rest assured that our service is safe and reliable: we will provide you with the official evidence of canceling the selected CERs and thus the transparency of your contribution.
WHAT IS IT ALL ABOUT?
A carbon footprint is something you create because you live. This is the amount of greenhouse gases such as carbon dioxide, methane, and nitrous oxide generated by all human activities, including: driving your car, taking a shower, washing and drying your clothes, buying things, and many others.
These gases, known as carbon dioxide equivalent (CO2e), create a greenhouse effect that causes global warming. Emissions are measured in tonnes (lbs), but what does 1 tonne (2,204 lbs) of CO2e mean in practice?
It is the same as heating your home in winter 3 degrees lower than usual or reducing your annual number of flights by one long-haul distance flight or simply decreasing the time you spend calling by cell phone from one hour to 5 minutes per day.
It is not so difficult, so are you ready to take the challenge? Contribute to sustainable development and become carbon neutral today!
START TO CONTROL YOUR EMISSIONS
Light is crucial for living, but… do you really need to have all your lights on when one would be enough for you? Reprogram yourself and your family and make it a habit to turn off lights when you do not need them or when you leave your home or apartment. Take small steps towards energy efficiency.
If you have the option, just switch to urban transport; buses are often faster than your car, especially in city centers with special bus lines. And what about your bike? Do you still remember the feeling of happiness when riding it? Let’s use it more often! Thus, you will do something useful for your health as well as our planet!
Eat less meat and try to buy only locally produced food. Analysis shows that diet has a major influence on your personal carbon footprint!
Go through your apartment or house and check how many electrical devices you have plugged in: computers, cell phone chargers, printers, kettles, etc. Have you managed to count them? Difficult? Now unplug each one that you are not actually using and pay special attention to all battery-rechargeable devices – they really don’t need electrical support when not in use.
Did you know the ideal temperature for sleeping is 18 °C (65 °F)? If you find it too low for your daily existence, try at least to lower your heating during the nighttime: your sleep will be deeper and of better quality!
Be economical with water: choose to take a shower instead of a bath, turn off the tap when brushing your teeth, do not run your dishwasher when it’s half empty or at very high temperatures.
BE PART OF A LARGER MOVEMENT AGAINST GLOBAL WARMING
Do you know the global annual average carbon footprint is around 6.7 tonnes (14,770 lbs) per capita, but the consumption of bigger polluters tends to be 40 tonnes (88,184 lbs) per year?!
You can now offset your individual carbon footprint with carbon offsets called Certified Emission Reduction Units (CERs).
They come from Clean Development Mechanism (CDM) projects with a main goal of contributing to sustainable development in developing countries: wind farm and hydropower projects, methane recovery and heat generation projects, Landfill Gas (LFG) collection system projects, tree plantations, etc.
In return, you can contribute to these single environmental projects by purchasing CER offset credits and thus reduce your negative impact.
